CRAIG JASTER
In a spirit of improvisation and open-ended play, Craig Jaster makes richly textured, painterly collages; dreamscapes of geometric shapes, hints of architecture, and stray bits of lettering. Made from cut and torn pieces of billboard posters and other paper scavenged from the streets of his adoptive city of Florence, Itay, his work is a visual record of playful trial and error. It is also a declaration of faith in intuition, persistence, and joy found in unpredicted juxtapositions.
